A short set of terms for a teaching portal, written to be read rather than to be clicked past.

Who may use it

The portal is for students enrolled on one of these courses and for the teaching staff who run them. You join a class with a code given out in the session; the code is for you, not for forwarding. Signing in with somebody else’s account, or handing yours to somebody else, is not on.

The material is not yours to circulate

The cases, caselets, comic retellings, work sheets, reading notes, course outlines and games in this portal are original teaching material written by Saumyaranjan Sahoo and published by IIM Sambalpur. They are made available to you for your own study on the course you are enrolled on.

You may download them and work on them. You may not republish them, post them to a file-sharing or homework site, sell them, or pass them to anyone outside the class — during the course or after it.

Solutions

Teaching notes and model workbooks carry the answers and are withheld from students by the portal itself. If one reaches you by mistake, the decent thing — and what is expected here — is to say so rather than to use it or pass it on.

Games are marked against the model’s own optimum. Circulating a key does not make anybody better at formulating a problem, which is the entire point of the exercise.

What you submit

Your submissions stay yours. By submitting them you allow them to be read and marked by your instructor, and to be used — anonymously, and in aggregate — to show a class how a cohort answered. Nothing you submit is published with your name on it outside your own course.

Availability

This is a teaching tool run by one lecturer, not a service with an uptime guarantee. It may be down for maintenance, and it may change between terms. Where a deadline depends on it, tell your instructor if you cannot get in — that is a matter between you and them, and it is always resolved that way.

The portal is provided as it is, without warranty. It is not marketed, sold or offered to anyone outside the courses it serves.
